Reciting the Names of the Infallibles

Question :

Is it permissible to recite the names of the infallibles (peace be upon them) just after the prayers?

Answer :

Yes, it is recommended to offer the Salam on every one of them (peace be upon them) after the prayers.

Raising the Hands

Question :

Must I raise my hands at the end of the prayer three times after Tasleem?

Answer :

The prayer ends with Tasleem, and it is recommended to recite Takbeer three times after the prayer, raising the hands each time.

Turning the Head after the Prayers

Question :

Some say that it is recommended to turn our heads from the right to the left at the end of the prayers. Is this true?

Answer :

No, it is not recommended to do so.

Turning the Body after the Prayer

Question :

After congregational prayers, it is common to see a Sunni imam turn around and sit for a while. I have not observed this from most of our Shia prayer leaders. Is this action considered mustahab for us? Or is this something we do not recognize?

Answer :

This is not a recommended act in our jurisprudence.

Reciting Salawat

Question :

Is it permissible to recite the Salawat on the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy Progeny) after the Tasleem and before Saying Allahu Akbar three times?

Answer :

It is permissible to recite the Salawat during the prayers and after it. The prayer ends with Tasleem, and anything can be done after it. However, it is recommended to recite Takbeer three times immediately after Tasleem.
